- When is your Auction held?
San Diego: Every Friday 5pm
San Leandro: Every Saturday 11am
Stockton: Sunday that lands on the 3rd weekend of every month 10am
- Is the auction open to the public?
Only through broker or retail dealers
- Do I need to register to bid in-person?
No. You only need cash for your deposit and a valid ID.
- What is the required deposit for EVERY purchase?
Any winning bids will require an IMMEDIATE NON-REFUNDABLE CASH deposit of $300.00. Winning bids over $2000.00 will require a deposit of $500.00. You are able to use your deposit towards the purchase of a vehicle if you win a bid
- Do I need to register to bid online?
Yes. Head over to "Bid Online" located at the top right corner of our webpage and follow the instructions.
- How long does the auction last?
On average, 3 hours
- Can I take my car same day?
Yes. You can take your car as soon as the auction is over if you liquidated your car.
- What time period do I have to pay for my balance?
San Diego: Friday 5pm-8pm OR Monday 9am-4:30pm
San Leandro: Saturday 12pm-3:30pm OR Monday 9am-3:30pm
Stockton: 3rd Sunday 12pm-3:30pm OR Monday 9am-3:30pm - When can I inspect the vehicles?
Auction day, 2 hours before the commencement of the auction.
San Diego: 3pm-5pm
San Leandro: 8am-11am
Stockton: 8am-10am - What happens if I do NOT pay for my balance after the due date?
You will forfeit your deposit.
- What happens if I pay for my balance BUT do not pick up my vehicle from yard after the due date?
You will be charged a daily $50 storage fee.
- What form of payment is accepted for my DEPOSIT?
CASH ONLY
- What form of payment is accepted for my BALANCE?
Money Order or Cashier's Check ONLY
- Do you have in-house financing for purchases?
No. All cars must be liquidated same day or the following business day.
- Where are your cars from?
95% of our vehicles are donated vehicles. We also have consignments’ that are brought in by outside sellers.
- Can I consign my vehicle at Brownfield Auto Auction?

- How do I register my vehicle?
We will provide the winning bidder with all the necessary paperwork for you to transfer the vehicle at the DMV. All registration and State fees are the buyer’s sole responsibility. Again, buyer is responsible for ALL DMV and Emission Fees.
- Are there warranties on my purchase?
No. All cars are sold "AS-IS, WHERE-IS" basis. There are NO WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES expressed or implied.
- What are the advantages of buying from a car auction?
PRICES. Buying cars from auctions can be a gamble but, that’s why the prices are much lower than buying from a dealership. This is because there are risks involved.
- If I purchased a vehicle that has a bad transmission/motor, can I get a refund?
No! All vehicles are sold “AS-IS, WHERE-IS.” Unfortunately, some vehicles will require minor to major work and purchasing these vehicles can be a gamble. If you are not in a position to take these chances, please do not bid on any vehicle(s).
